‘Steam in the Park’ was first held at Balado in 2004. The Scottish Traction Engine Society, having organised a steam and vintage rally since 2000, had outgrown their previous site and so a new chapter began.

Held annually in May with over 20 full size steam traction engines and more than 20 miniature traction engines, the rally has continued to steadily grow attracting exhibitors from all over the country. On display are vintage lorries, tractors, stationary engines and military vehicles as well as displays of model aeroplanes, model boats and birds of prey.

There are also many stalls for all the family to browse through, offering anything from framed prints and photographs to tools and spare parts for tractors, cars, lorries, etc.

The rally takes place on May 9th and 10th 2009. A fun day out for all the family.
